Kinos Emotions in Steinbeck’s Novel, The Pearl Essay -- Character Anal

A piddling twist of fate can destroy the life of an individual. kino gum, a Mexican, osseous tissue diver, is in desperate need of help when his baby, Coyotito, is stung by a scorpion. kino gum feels his only hope is to find a collect attractive enough to sell. His dream comes true when he discovers a magnificent free fall one morning. At first the discovery of the pearl can be looked upon as not only a miracle but also a life saver. Throughout the novel it becomes apparent the pearl is no where about to a miracle. Kinos life becomes a struggle with umpteen decisions that have to be made. In Steinbecks novel, The Pearl, the power of the pearl relates to Kinos emotions. Kino is hopeful in the beginning of the novel, and the power of the pearl is purely good. When he finds the Pearl of the World he begins to think his helping has turned for the better. Coyotito appears to be healed and Kino decides he will prevent the money from the pearl for his family, but when the y return to the mend he advises Kino and his wife, Juana, to have the baby treated.
