Tokyo’s Architecture And Transportation Coursework Assignment - 2750 Words

Tokyo’s Architecture And Transportation Coursework Assignment (Coursework Sample) Content: TOKYOS ARCHITECTURE AND TRANSPORTATIONNameCourseTutorDateIntroductionIn the ancient world, urban areas never used to exist. Instead, there used to be trade centers where people would literally meet to exchange goods. A good example is the Mesopotamia that emerged as a center in 3000 B.C. The existence of these trade centers attracted people to settle in the centers leading to the development of a different system of operation. This system needed regulations to ensure it operates in an organized manner. Breaking this law led to punishment by the governing authority. Industrialization and civilization later made these centers to become larger due to intensified trade activities. The authorities were challenged to think of a way to facilitate the existence of the trade centers. These centers later emerged into towns, some of the towns later grew into bigger towns commonly known as cities. In the 1960s experts began to develop the theories of urbanization. These theori es were based on enhancing living and transportation in the towns to ease congestion and reduce delays in the delivery of goods to the markets. This aspect of urban planning is basically applied to the present age planning of urban areas. By comprehensive definition, planning basically means taking into consideration the necessary control measures and mechanisms to govern the implementation of an idea. Planning is the initial stage of development. Considering urban planning and development, the measures that need to be taken into consideration include excellent architectural designing of houses, proper design of the traffic routes and well-formulated policies to oversee the actualisation of these plans. Tokyo is a trending city in the world. This has not been achieved through marketing the town across the world but through effective planning of every structure before it is put up in the town. This paper tackles the urban planning and development of Tokyo taking into consideration its architectural designs and transportation system.Urban Planning and Development of TokyoThe vision for planning the city of Tokyo was established in the year two thousand and one. The development plan was reviewed in two thousand and nine in order to meet the social, economic and economic factors that were prevailing at that particular time. Major socioeconomic shifts, as well as declining population, necessitated the development of an urban development plan that is based on policies rather than one that is oriented towards improving infrastructure. The picture below shows the conceptual chart for the circular megalopolis structure of Tokyo city.Tokyos urban development was based on sustainable goals and ideas that facilitated the growth of the city towards benefiting both current and the future generation. Some of these goals and ideas included to create and diffuse the original urban culture, to enhance the realization of better quality environment in which people could live healthily and safely, to enhance the coexistence of an environment that would enable continuous prosperity, to encourage the participation of various stakeholders as well as the general public in actualizing the development plans, and develop and maintain economic dynamics that facilitate worldwide competitiveness. The picture below shows the circular megalopolis structure of Tokyo city. A keen look at the picture shows how the hoses are arranged in a radial manner. The attainment of achieving the goal of developing Tokyo into a city that is internationally recognized is set for 2050. The intermediate time target for the attainment of this goal is in 2025. The architectural design of Tokyo city is based on a circular form. This form of urban design is known as circular megalopolis structure. This form of urban design and development enhances, among other factors, ease of access and division of land based on the nature of activities and the proximity to the central business district . This is attained through locating places of intense business activities closer to transportation terminals. This development plan was spearheaded by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG). The space Tokyo city is divided into five different sections based on the use assigned to each space. These zones include Central core revitalization zone, Tokyo bay waterfront vitalisation zone, Urban environment revitalization zone, Nuclear city regional collaboration zone, and Natural environment preservation and utilization zone. These spaces have different uses that strongly interrelate to make the design of this great city complete. The organization of these spaces is a pure illustration of a sustainable design since it takes into consideration environmental conservation measures. The map below shows how different land uses in Tokyo have been distributed. The current developments are based on the land use policies that the TMG has stipulated. The architectural plans are done with respec t to the master plan developed for the city. The master plan gives the expected view of what the city ought to look like in the future. This gives the planners as well as investors the expected form of designs, allocation of spaces, and the economic performance of the various locations. The nature and types of buildings are important factors that help in designing other necessary infrastructure such as roads, railways, sewer lines, power lines, and water distribution lines. The Tokyo Metropolitan government (TMG) stipulated four policies to make the actualisation of the goal to develop Tokyo into a better city a reality. These policies were formulated to ensure that every development on every piece of land adhered to the master plan design for the city. The first policy was basically oriented towards designers adherence to the citys master plan. It defines the regulations that govern the step-by-step design processes that are to be considered towards the attainment of the master ci ty plan. It also serves as a foundation on which every individual city design is designed. The second policy is focused on the redevelopment of specific urban areas in the central business district. This policy is based on the Urban Renewal Law. It stipulates the measures and regulations for redeveloping the selected urban areas. The picture below shows the distribution of houses and integration of the road transport system closer to high activity areas (high rise buildings) to facilitate economic activities. The third policy is based on the Law for special Measures to promote the supply of housing and housing lands in the urban districts. This policy facilitates the construction of modern residential houses in the city based on the foundation master plan. It stipulates the design, health, and safety measures that should be considered in the development of what the TMG refers to as good residential districts in the city of Tokyo. The fourth policy was established on the Law for prom oting the improvement of disaster reduction blocks in concentrated urban areas. Since Tokyo is located in an area that is prone to earthquakes, this policy stipulates measures that should be considered in the architectural and structural design of houses. The application of these policies in design ensures that in the event a disaster occurs, the rate at which lives are lost and properties destroyed is reduced to the minimal possible value. The park on the right-hand side of this picture shows a park that doubles as an environmental conservation zone and an evacuation area in the event a disaster occurs.Different architectural designs are used to give different impressions about the city. The waterfront district is attractive. This plays the role of welcoming visitors into the city. The tall structures are situated in the central business district where economic activities are very intense. As the distance from the citys core area increases, the height of buildings gradually decr eases introducing the residential districts in the city. The Outer most core of the city is made up of a natural environment. This signifies natural environment conservation. This assists the city to meet its goal of becoming a low-carbon city. Another representation of culture is met through the conservation of ancient buildings and locations of historic significance to the city. Such buildings and locations help in displaying the ancient architectural designs that were achieved in the nation in ancient times. For instance, the Tokyo station, the former residence of Count Ogasawara in Shinjuku Ward, and former residence of Iwasaki family in Tato Ward have been specifically preserved by the TMG policies on structures of historic value. This picture shows one of the buildings with historic value that have been conserved by the TMG. This is the former residence of Count Ogasawara in Shinjuku ward. The redevelopment policy has been widely applied in the development of Marunouchi, Otema chi and Yurakucho districts. The redevelopment in these districts is done according to the urban development guideline by the collaboration of public and private sectors. The development is aimed at meeting the functional requirements such as maintaining and displaying culture, creating a high-quality business environment, and facilitating commercial activities. In both the design and implementation, it is evident that an intensive effort has been made in ensuring the districts conserve the available historical scenes such as Meiji Seimei Building. Other renovation works in the area also includes the restoration of Tokyo Station Building.Aesthetic appe...

In the first sentence, adverbs are being used in a list and should continue, rather than injecting an adjective. carelessly, quickly, recklessly, ruthlessly, etc. RATHER THAN carelessly, quickly, and in a reckless (adjective) manner. In the second sentence, the dependent clauses are used that he wanted to go home... that he needed a shower, etc. and should continue in the same manner. Notice also that the verb used in the third clause of this string of clauses is in the present tense, rather than the past as the other clauses. Here is another example of a similar adjective mistake in parallel structure. Which adjective is incorrect? Why? Jennifer appears to be tired, distracted and upsetting. If you answered upsetting, you are correct. The first two adjectives tired and distracted refer to the state that affects Jennifer. In other words, she feels tired and distracted. Upsetting refers to the effect that she has on someone else. Jennifer is upsetting to Jim. In this case, the intent is that Jennifer appears tired, distracted AND upset. All three adjectives refer to how she feels, rather than the effect she has on someone else. Fortunately, there is a variety of treatment options. Many people define depression as being heartsick and sad all the time when in reality there is much more to that interpretation. Eating Meat - 1046 Words

â€Å"If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be a vegetarian.† Paul McCartney stated in a video he made to motivate switching to vegetarianism. Like Paul McCartney, many people today are switching to a vegetarian or even vegan diet and with good reason. Environmentalists and scientists have shown, through extensive research, that meat industries are over-producing animal products, and in addition, are a major cause of environmental problems such as global warming and world hunger. Another good motive is the unimaginable cruelty these animals suffer, that represents torture one could never imagine for their own pets or peers. As importantly, being a vegetarian has numerous health benefits. Animal products contain bacteria and†¦show more content†¦Eating any of these animals is only supporting this unethical cruelty, and therefore the only way it can be prevented is if to stop eating animal products and eliminate it completely. As importantly, taking animal products out of one’s daily diet will improve their personal health. Firstly, many people argue that meat and dairy is mandatory for good health because it contains many nutrients in small amounts, but this can be the same for many of the foods in a vegan diet. Even better, these products do not contain nearly as much saturated fats, protein, hormones, cholesterol, that have caused the high increase of obesity, excess nitrogen, heart issues and cancer seen in today’s society. In recent studies, vegans averaged a 10-year longer lifespan than those who consumed animal products. Although there are several nutrients provided by animal products, they also contain toxins that cause serious illnesses. The packaged meat that is sold internationally has, on multiple occasions, been tested positive for harmful bacteria such as listeriosis, E. Coli, campylobacter and salmonella, which has led to killing people. Another example is the increase in mercury poisoning. The Exclusion Of The League Of Nations - 1613 Words

To what extent did the exclusion of the United States affect the legitimacy of the League of Nations? Samantha Martinez 18 December 2015 To what extent did the exclusion of the United States affect the legitimacy of the League of Nations? Plan of investigation: In the 1920s in France the League of Nations was created in order to end the first world war and establish relations between several countries. However, big countries were excluded such as Germany and the United States.  ³ Due to the fact that the United States was far more economically developed and adapted than other countries of that time, there was a question about the ways in which the League of Nations would succeed without it. Australian Taxation Mountain Climbing Profession

Question: Describe about the Australian Taxation for Mountain Climbing Profession. Answer: 1. Issue The central concern in the given situation is to opine on the nature of payments that Hilary is deriving from the sale of the manuscript, story and photographs associated with her climbing expeditions. The key facts that have been presented in the given case are summarised below. The main skill of Hilary lies in the mountain climbing profession. Hilary has never written any story previously to the offer by The Daily Terror . However, still a lucrative amount of $ 10,000 was offered. Hilary is not known for her skills related to photography. Even though she has no writing experience, but despite that she writes the story on herself only. Rule The underlying treatment of any payment that is derived by the taxpayer depends on two aspects i.e. taxpayers intention with which the activity was performed and the receipts nature (i.e. revenue and capital). Revenue receipts tend to contribute to assessable income while capital receipts are held as non-assessable (Barkoczy, 2014). Assessable income may be derived on the basis of the sections listed below. Section 6(5) For all the payments that the taxpayer obtains by indulging in routine business or employment activity, it would be ordinary income and would also include income in way of rent, dividends and interest (Woellner, 2014). Section 15(15) In case of any isolated transaction that is enacted with the motive of earning profit, then the gains from such transaction would make contributions to assessable income in accordance with this section (CCH, 2014). Capital asset liquidation gives way to capital receipts which are free from tax but any capital gains derived in the process will be taxed as per Section 10(5) (Gilders et. al., 2016). A relevant case which needs further analysis to lent clarity on the issue at hand is Brent vs Federal Commissioner of Taxation(1971) 125 CLR case. The case relates to the issue of the appropriate assessibility of the payments which the appellant receives from the contract enacted with a newspaper company. As per the relevant details of the contract, the appellant derives payment from the payment for making disclosures about her marital life through the interview medium. The interest of the newspaper in this information can be understood from the fact that her husband was convicted in a robbery which has become highly popular during those days (Sadiq et. al., 2014). The wife revealed the information to the companys representatives who then condensed this in a book format and at the end the appellant was asked to sign on each page for authentication purposes (Coleman, 2011). When the matter came to the court, it ruled that the receipts were of capital nature and no tax liability arose for the appellant. The central reason as explained by the court for the same was that essentially that the payment was made by the company to gain access to previously undisclosed private information having material worth. The fact that the appellant gave interviews does not amount to any productive activity being done and the interview was done as it acted as a medium to enable the transfer of information from the appellant to the company. Since, the underlying contract was for gaining access to the intangible capital asset that is already present at the time of contract, hence the receipts were of capital nature (Nethercott, Richardson Devos, 2016). Application In wale of the discussion regarding the above case, Hilarys case needs to be analysed. The profession for which Hilary is known for is mountain climbing and he has never engaged in any writing activity. Despite being aware of this fact, the newspaper gives an offer only because she wanted to gain access to the valuable information about personal life of Hilary. By writing the story, Hilary was merely transferring the information to the newspaper which could have been enabled through interview of any other medium. Also, through the payment of $ 10,000, the newspaper is able to get the rights with regards to this information. Thus, the proceeds would be capital as it involves transfer of one capital asset from Hilary to the newspaper. The argument stated above can also be used to account for the cash inflows arising from the sale of manuscript and photos to Mitchell Library. The commercial value of manuscript does not lie in the fact that it is written by Hilary since her writing skills are not appreciated but rather from the fact that it contains information that deals with the personal life of Hilary. In case of photographs, the commercial value is derived that the photo depicts Hilary on her climbing missions and is not related to the fact that the photos are clicked by Hilary or someone else. Hence, all proceeds are capital in nature and thus not assessable for tax. Absence of profit motive Unlike previous case where Hilary started writing the story with the intention of earning money, here she is driven only by satisfaction and hence indulges in writing. Since, Hilary is indulging in an activity where she does not have any proficiency and the same is being enacted without any profit motive, hence any proceeds that may be derived would be outside the ambit of assessable income under Section 6(5) (since writing is not her profession) and Section 15(15) (since profit motive absent). Thus, the proceeds would not be taxable since Hilary would be deemed to engage in writing hobby (Sadiq et. al. 2014). Conclusion It is fair to conclude on the basis of the arguments extended above that neither of the proceeds derived by Hilary would be classified as income from personal exertion and further all proceeds would be non-assessable in nature. 2. Issue As per the relevant case facts, the son has approached for housing loan to mother who gladly obliges by extending a sum of $ 40,000. In accordance with the verbal agreement between the two parties, this money is to repaid back after five years. The son offers to pay interest at 5% pa which is denied by the mother as has no intention to earn any income through interest on the loan facility. The son is able to repay the complete debt in two year only when he passes on a cheque of $ 44,000 to the mother where the incremental amount represents the 5% interest for a period of two years. In wake of these facts, the impact of the above cheque on mothers assessable income needs to be analysed. Rule In case of repayment of borrowed capital, there is no ambiguity with regards to the underlying tax treatment accorded to the principal repayment as the same amounts to capital receipts and hence is non-assessable (CCH, 2014). However, with regards to any additional payment received the following options arise. Ordinary income (Section 6-5) For incremental payment to be assessable in accordance with this section, it should either be derived from some investment made by the taxpayer or should have been obtained from a money lending business which is operated by the taxpayer on a routine basis (Hodgson, Mortimer Butler, 2016). Ordinary income (Section 15-15) For incremental payment to be assessable in accordance with this section, the transaction should be of isolated nature and entered into with the explicit intention of making profits. For instance, if an individual not engaged in money lending, lends money with the intention of earning interest income, then the interest payments would be recognised under Section 15-15 (Gilders et. al., 2016). Tax exempt Income (TR 2005/13) For the additional received payment to be regarded a gift, the following conditions need to be complied with (ATO, 2005). Change of ownership as part of the transfer. The transfer should be on voluntary basis without any threat or obligation from the recipient. The transfer should be initiated without mutual or reciprocal expectations to be extracted from transferee. Transfer initiated by feelings of personal nature along with benefaction. Application With regard to the above, it is apparent that the main issue is to determine the precise status of $ 4,000 given as interest by the son in accordance with the discussion above. Ordinary Income (Section 6-5) Based on the limited information given, there is no evidence that mother is operating a money lending business and also the payment is not attributed to any security which pays interest. Thus, the current section does not account for this payment. Ordinary Income (Section 15-15) Based on the information give, it is evident that mother had no intention to obtain interest income and hence in the absence of profit motive, the current section fails to account for this payment. Tax exempt income (TR 2005/13) Mother obtains the payment by way of cheque written in her name. Despite the mother not wanting any interest, son has given to the mother this $ 4,000 payment. For this token payment, the son does not expect any reciprocal benefits from mother. The intention for making this payment is personal with a sense of gratitude for the help extended. Since, all the terms fulfilled, hence $ 4,000 is gift. Conclusion The mother does not draw any assessable income from the given transaction. 3. Part a) It is known that capital gains derived on only capital assets are subject to CGT that have been acquired on or after the cut-off date i.e. September 20, 1985. Scotts purchase of the vacant land would fall under the purview of a CGT exempt asset since it was bought in 1980. However, same cannot be said about the house which was constructed in 1986 (Barkoczy, 2014). Thus, on the property sales proceeds of $ 800,000, a part would be exempt from CGT while another part would attract CGT. Hence, it is imperative to ascertain the valuation of house from the property valuation (CCH, 2014). Contribution of the house to the overall property price at the time of construction i.e. 1986 = (Price of house/Price of property)*100 = (60000/(60000+90000))*100 = 40% Hence, sales proceeds deemed to have been obtained from the house = 40% of 800000 = $ 320,000. Now, we need to estimate the taxable capital gains based on the house using the methods available below (Coleman, 2011). Indexation Method (Section 114-1) Taxable capital gain from sale of house = Proceeds from house Construction Cost (inflation adjusted) = 320,000 [60000*(68.72/43.2)] = $224,600 Discount method (Section 115-25) = (50/100)*Capital gains) = 0..5*( Proceeds from house Construction Cost) = 0.5*(320000 60000) = $ 130,000 Hence, the net taxable capital gains for the current year amount to $ 130,000. Part b) As per, Section 116-30, ITAA 1997, the capital gains computation is conducted by deployed the greater value from the following two values (Austlii, nd). Assets actual selling price Assets market value As per the information provided, Assets actual selling price is $ 200,000 Assets market value is $ 800,000 Thus, even in this case, $ 800,000 would be used and hence for the current year the taxable capital gains would amount to $ 130,000 only. Part c) The question states that now the property is not under individual taxpayer ownership but under company. Hence, discount method is not applicable and hence gains are computed using indexation method (Gilders et. al., 2016). The capital gains computation as per this has already been carried out in part (a) and the taxable capital gains would be $ $ 224,600. Water and Energy Sustainability

Question: Discuss about theWater and Energy Sustainability. Answer: Introduction Water and energy are key elements in environmental sustainability. Governments are much concerned with these two element since they are able to affect the citizens in different ways. In addition, non-governmental organizations and private sectors also play large roles in implementation of different aspects of water and energy sustainability (Maheshwari, 2014). Research and key technological advancements are taken in each of the sectors to ensure the sustainability of the water and energy aspects. This paper will analyze the Australian and Canadian government efforts in the efforts of regulating the sustainability of these aspects as well as the NGO and private sector contributions. In addition, the paper will look at the different researches in both countries and the exemplar projects in the countries. Lastly, this paper will compare the actions of these two countries and the way they are faring. Step 1 The Australian government has developed different programs and policies to ensure the sustainability of energy and water. On the energy sector, the Australian government has the renewable energy target, which regulates the homeowners to implement the use of reduced cost solar panel and solar water heaters through the RET scheme. In addition, the Australian energy market commission helps to regulate the production of electricity in the country. In addition, the GreePower helps the households and businesses to commit themselves in purchasing electricity from accredited renewable energy suppliers (Australian Housing And Urban Research Institute 2009). In addition, the Australian government implements the sustainable water management systems in order to offer water sustainability. In addition, through Australian Water Association (AWA), the government helps top protect the water sources such as the forests where the government helps to preserve the water catchments against any settlement s (Setegn Donoso 2015). Moreover, the government launched the Australia's Strategic Plan in 2010 in order to enhance the water sustainability in the country by 2018. This plan has the rules and strategies governing the water usage and recycling measures, which would ensure that water, is not wasted. The plan also mandates different bodies to monitor the usage of water by different stakeholders. The government has different rules, which are governing the water consumption on both urban and rural areas to ensure sustainability. In addition, the Australian government has taken adverse measures on research and technology of both water and energy strategies. First, the country has the energy white paper, which sets out the energy policy framework for delivering reliable energy supply. This is a technological measure, which the country uses to ensure that they reach their sustainability measure on energy. In addition, the country has the energy efficiency strategies, which are innovative to implement the renewable energy sources. The country targets to achieve a renewable energy sustainability by the year 2020 and this action call for innovation strategies. In addition, through Rural RD for Profit the Australia government aims to achieve great innovation and research related topics on water sustainability (Barton 2006). The Rural research and development corporation, the country helps the rural area to fund the innovation strategies for the rural areas. All these departments help to fund the innovation and rese arch on water issues to enhance the sustainability. In addition, the NGOs and private sectors play a major role in achieving the sustainability of water and energy in the country (Goldie, Douglas Furnass 2005). The NGOs and private sector have been funding individuals to research on methods which sustainability can be achieved. In addition, the private sector has been key on energy sustainability where they are funding renewable sustainable energy measures in the country. The Trilemma is a key example of a project, which has been used to enhance the water sustainability in Australia. Step 2 The Canadian government on the other hand has regulations, which are targeting the sustainability of water and energy. The country has enacted laws which are aimed at achieving the energy efficiency in order to increase the sustainability. Reduction of energy costs is one of the key regulation which the country focuses on in order to achieve its targets on energy sustainability. In addition, the government has involved other stakeholder and partners to enhance the sustainability. This can be seen through the Canada-United States Regulatory Cooperation Council (RCC), where the Canadian government aims to reduce the cost. In addition, the government has legislated the Energy and Transportation Sectors Regulations, which aims to achieve safe movement of energy resources (World Water Environmental Resources Congress, Phelps Sehlke 2005). This aims to increase the energy production and usage within the country to achieve the sustainability. Also, the government has regulations on the re quirements for Energy-Using Products. In this section, the government regulated the energy using appliances to meet specific targets of energy consumptions. This action enhances the usage and consumption to achieve the required sustainability. The Canadian government has also enacted water laws and regulations. The water regulation to protect the different water bodies in the country in order to achieve sustainability have been a key pillar for the government. First, the government has the Fisheries Act Regulations, which aims to control the safety and pollution measures of water bodies (Kinkade-Levario 2007). In addition, this act enhances the wastewater management for different purposes from different factories. The act helps to ensure that the factories maximizes on the usage of the water and not disposing it without proper management. In addition, through Waters Protection Act, the government manages the different uses of its water bodies (Mitchell 1995). Through this act, the government ensures that it has details on the purposes of the water usage and controls the demand of the usage. In addition, the country has withdrawn regulations, which they have termed to be protecting their rivers and lakes (Allen 2013). The g overnment argues that the rules have been preventing the achievement of the sustainability when the rules are imposed. Canada has a great focus on the renewable energy achievement. The country has been able to invest heavily on this sector in terms of innovation and research. The country has innovated on the biofuels and bioinvasions. These technologies are playing a big role in achieving the sustainability of energy in the country (World Water Environmental Resources Congress, Phelps Sehlke 2005). In addition, the country has different research centers such as Centre for Urban Energy (CUE) where they research in the sustainability issues of energy in the country (Bosselmann, Fogel Ruhl 2011). In addition, the country has been researching on the moose spit fights toxic fungus in plants in the aim of attains water sustainability. The private sector and NGOs have been playing a key role in the sustainability issues of water and energy in Canada. CanmetENERGY is an organization, which has been promoting the sustainability of energy in the country through renewable energy (National Round Table on The Environment and the Economy (Canada) 2009). The NGO focuses on clean fossils fuels and bioenergy in order to achieve the sustainability. Moreover, the organization focuses on the industrial processes to enhance the sustainability of energy in the country. In addition, through Ryerson Urban Water the private sector and NGOs are involved in the management and sustainability of water structure and issues in the country. Some of the major exemplar project in Canada on energy includes solar photovoltaic reverse osmosis (PVRO), which is a key energy sustainability of energy (World Water Environmental Resources Congress, Sehlke, Hayes Stevens, 2004). This project is key in the sustainability of the energy and achievement of the goals of the country. In addition, the country has the Canada has a tidal power plant in Nova Scotia which helps the country to promote the sustainability of the energy in the country. Aquaculture is a key project, which has been implemented in Canada to enhance the water security and safety(Allen 2013)The project is meant to enhance the safety measures of the water systems in the country and therefore enhancing the sustainability. Step 3 Canada and Australia have different management policies concerning the sustainability issues of water and energy. In this view, the policies are different due to the administration priorities and managements. For instance, Canada focuses on the use of different partners such as USA to achieve its goals. Australia on the other hand focuses on individual innovation and creativity to come up with methods for its sustainability. The Australian strategy on innovation about the renewable energy has been more successful in achieving the sustainability of energy. This is unlike the Canada strategy where it has been involving USA to achieve its goals. The Canadian method leads to more bureaucratic measures which will take time to solve the sustainability issues. From the above two cases, it can be noted that innovation and research plays a major role in coming up with strategies which will enhance the sustainability of water and energy in the world. Although involving other parties is importa nt, the role of the NGO and private sector is key in the innovation strategies. In conclusion, water and energy sustainability requires collaboration of different parties in the innovation and research. These parties will therefore enhance coming up with different strategies, which will enhance proper sustainability. References Allen, R. (2013). Water and the future of the Canadian economy.
